I only became aware of the Down with Molestia movement recently. But I’ve done my fair share of looking and being saddened and disappointed.
Yes, art is supposed to be free expression. I understand that as well as the next person.
But to take a character from a children’s show and desecrate it as Celestia has been desecrated is plain shameful.
Rape culture is far too accepted by many people.
While I myself have never experienced anything of the sort, I still cannot understand the mindset that making light of rape and molestation is… funny.
While I am not largely invested in the pony fandom (I watch it and draw some things) I will put myself behind those people who suffer from the Molestia blog.
I don’t like to be triggered by the things that do trigger me, and I can only do a little.
Rape is wrong, Molestation is wrong. Joking about them is wrong.
You can have as many fetishes and fantasies that you want, but if you cannot understand that they may be bad, inappropriate, and harmful to other people, then you have no right to your voice. Things that hurt people should be kept private.
Artists have the rights to draw what they want, but people should never appropriate the rape culture. Celestia is a princess, a role model, someone for little girls to think of as a leader, who will do anything to help them become the best person they can be.
Molestia is not that role model.

Why do DMW people constantly get Celestia confuse with Molestia? Celestia is the ruler of Equestria, and a rolemodell...
